The Kickback: Oakland
I’ve been in Oakland since 2009, and it reminds so much of Brooklyn it feels like a 2nd home . I was so humbled to see how much LOVE the Bay Area showed us at the Kickback. If you aren’t familiar with the Kickback, check out this video and make sure you don’t miss the next one! The Kickback is an interactive community “shoeraiser” event that allows the public to meet their favorite celebrities, play games and most importantly donate their time and resources to Kick’n It For Cause in effort to impact the world through sneakers. We asked that all event-goers bring a pair of sneakers to donate to our Kick’n It For a Cause: Cease Fire campaign in effort to raise 100K sneakers for The Congo, Uganda, Sudan and Somalia. The Bay showed up and showed out as we were able to pack an entire U-Haul truck full of sneakers! Huge thank you to my Everett & Jones & Body Armor family for always holding it down for us. You can’t have a true Bay Area event without Mistah Fab supporting and he always supports Kick’n it For a Cause!! I have to shoutout my guy Quinn Cook, not just for coming out to the Kickback, playing NBA2K with event-goers and signing autographs but for what he’s been able to accomplish this season signing his first multi-year NBA deal with the Warriors. I’m proud of you bro and thank you for always supporting!
